Search for User's Page posted by golfmc on 07/03/2009 06:57 Is there any way in Surfoo.com to navigate directly to a particular User Page?
posted by DirtySeb on 07/03/2009 18:53 I'm also missing this feature ...
@Tip: It would be great if it were possible to have an alphabetical index.
An idea for you.... posted by CamelNut on 07/04/2009 04:07 I too have had issues trying to find posts by particular users that I want to search for. The best thing I've found is using the
1. userpages
2. alphabetical
3. if you change the numbers in the address bar in multiples of 30 you'll be able to get to where you going sooner....
so now say i'm looking for Jayda Diamond' posts....I'd try going to something like 300 or 330 or 330 at the end of the address....
However I do find it at 480, which will help you to gauge what number to input later when looking for other names....
http://www.surfoo.com/gaping-pussy/d-key-0-f-USER-id-0-id2-1-id3-480
so here is jayda at 480....see how it works...i know it's a bit difficult but trying 4 or 5 numbers is much easier than going through all the user pages to find the one you'er looking for ...
good luck
Thanks! posted by golfmc on 07/04/2009 05:55 Thanks CamelNut! I see they recently added text search to the User Pages. Hopefully, they will add User Page Goto someday soon.
As one of the moderators of the site posted by CamelNut on 07/04/2009 08:08 I don't make changes to the site, but I've made the suggestion to TIP that maybe with time, he could make it so that the alphabetical listing will go be letter
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP.....
that way if you know the username you're looking for you just click on their letter and it gets you their fairly quick....
He and I have discussed the addition of other forms of search on the site, but he explained that not very many people on the site are using the search engine, as it is, so it's not one of those overly important things to deal with.
Thanks though, take care.
